Father's Day Camping Weekend

So we picked up our new trailer Friday afternoon, and by 6pm that evening we were already at a campground ready for the weekend!  We ended up at a campground called Cochiti Lake, about an hour from our house.  It was weird because it was on a huge lake, right smack in the middle of the desert!  We didn't make a reservation at the campground, and we quickly learned that you need to make one, atleast 2 weeks in advance, otherwise you end up in the old part of the campground, far far away from the lake & playground.  (We didn't even know they had a playground until we saw it on our drive out this morning!)  - And we even took Molly & Arnold for a LONG walk, and never came across it!  Our campsite was kinda blah, very desert-y, kind of rough terrain, and we were on a hill, Molls had a tough time getting around to play.  And don't get me started on Arnold!  The dog didn't poop all weekend!  It's like he had travel anxiety!  He barked at everyone.....camping is definitely something he is going to need to get used to!  Another downside to our weekend was we were not able to have a campfire (I know right?)  But that wasn't the fault of the campground.  Due to the ridiculous amounts of wildfires going on in New Mexico, the whole state is under a "no fire" rule.  So, no roasting marshmallows, or hotdogs on the fire!  Luckily, we could do our cooking in the trailer.  Other than not loving our campsite, we would definitely go back to Cochiti, (only, we would make a reservation so we could be in the newer part near lake & playground)  :)  Below are some pics from the weekend!  We can't wait to get out camping again this weekend coming up!  We're going to (make a reservation) :) at a campground up more in the mountains, so hopefully we'll get that forest-y feel!  Enjoy the pics!

The view from our campsite!

She loved digging in the dirt!

Loves her sunglasses and her pink camping chair or  "seat" as she likes to call it!

Dancing in her seat!

Camping is tough for a little girl!
